So now that you are all getting to know me better-I had better warn all of you out there that I am a complete and total junkie for poetry-seriously, I cannot get enough of it. I can be awake at 3:30 am going like: "I'm bored-here's an idea-I'll read a bit of poetry"-So yeah, I love it-this book provides you with that soul-searching kind of poetry-I own it and read it every night before I go to sleep-Well, not EVERY night, but yeah-often. You can get it here.

His poetry is somber, surreal, funny and clever. He is a poet for Yaated Ne'eman Newspaper and the author of this amazingly delightful book-Chaim Bashevkin wonderfully approaches jewish life with whimsical rhymes. Buy it here.

I could not find a picture of him anywhere but he is an amazing poet. He writes for the Yaated Newspaper and is truly loved by all-I will be posting some of his pieces because they are brilliant and cleverly written by this amazing man. He is a muse in certain ways and a guide in others. He also has a book out that you can purchase here.

Find me someone that says poetry is not beautiful. Okay, don't-because there are millions upon millions of people who think poetry is beneath them and is for geeks and nerds who always have their head in a book. I say it's empowering and beautiful-it's something that can awaken your mind and truly touch your soul. It can remind us of a happy time filled with laughter, joy and smiles. Or, it can get you all teary-eyed which is sometimes necassary in everyone's lives. You need to allow yourself to indulge in the occasional rhyme or non-rhyming poem. It is like a breath of fresh air-No- it IS a breath of fresh air...;)

I'm not gonna lie-I hate facebook. It's a tremendous waste of time and you are setting yourself up for potential heartbreak, robbery, verbal and emotional abuse-there is not a lot to learn from it or gain from it. That being said, I will tell you that I have a facebook account. I only got it because I wanted to know what everyone was making a crazy deal about. (I know, I know-it's everyone's excuse) but honestly...there wasn't much that I liked or like about it. The one thing I will admit, though, is that I have began chatting with my cousin living in Israel. Apparently, that was the only way of contacting him, it was great and it's really fun to find old friends, but use it wisely it is a pretty big time killer-when you're bored with absolutely nothing else to do-facebook? go ahead, facebook all you want but don't allow it to consume you (sorry for being ultra chatty about this, I had a college paper to write on how technology has taken over our lives, physically, mentally, emotionally...you get it) but it's true-don't let this be the killer of your precious minutes (not to mention hours) because time has no resurection!!!

Author of the amazing book-"The Kosher Baker". She is incredibly crafty and food-friendly, being a cookbook author and all...but there is plenty more to learn about her here-her website. Her blog is here and on the side by "blogs I follow" ----> She hasn't written much for a while but it's still a cool blog to check out.
:)

Now, you know I love food and books-what you don't know is-is that i love cooking rather than baking because...oh...i dunno...maybe because I am TERRIBLE at baking. Yes, it's true-I alway mess it up, but when I got a look at this book, it really made me feel different about baking-I love it now, and not just for pastries and cakes (which is hard to bake from scratch, I am perfecting it, but Duncan Hines will just have to do...) Check it out, purchase it if you like but never give up on baking-it really is not that hard. The author is Paula Shoyer-a real natural at the craft. Buy it here.
